Clinical Supervisor II Bilingual (Family Preservation – Oakland)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Our Oakland Family Preservation Programs provide intensive, home-based services to families referred from Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA). Families are referred from the child abuse / neglect hotline or from the SSA Family Maintenance Unit.

JOB DUTIES:

The Clinical Supervisor II Bilingual is responsible for the clinical operations and supervision of the Social Workers for the ARS program. Duties include:

  • Hire, train and supervise BA-level Social Workers, utilizing reflective supervision.
  • Develop a clinical team.
  • Provide backup to the Social Workers.
  • Conduct outreach to families to enroll them in services and conduct home assessments.
  • Develop and monitor family service plans.
  • Ensure timely and thorough case documentation and program statistics.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary consultation meetings, trainings, and community meetings.
  • Work closely with SSA on program development and case-specific issues.
  • Take an active role in program development and other management activities.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work or related clinical field required.
  • Valid LCSW or LMFT or psychology license strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish required.
  • Four years demonstrated competency as a social work practitioner.
  • Three years assessment experience with families and children.
  • Two years supervisory experience.
  • Experience and willingness to provide home-based services.
  • Experience and comfort in diverse communities.
  • Respect for cultural differences and families’ rights to self-determination.
  • Excellent organizational, written, computer, and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in assuming responsibility, taking initiative, working in a team setting and providing leadership to others.
  • Ability to receive clearance by a fingerprint/background check (criminal and child abuse).
  • Own transportation required, including valid California driver’s license, a car in good working condition, current automobile registration, insurance and a good driving record.

STARTING SALARY RANGE:

$54,800 - $57,800 (with license) DOE

$50,000 - $53,000 (without license) DOE

Bilingual salary differential available.
